I'm inclined to think the witch coven survives each generation the same way Wonder Woman's people did in the old comics: have sex with anyone passing by the planet, kill them afterwards, and keep the newborn girls while presumably killing the boys. Also, the demographics of this witches' coven are all wrong! There are like, what, 30 or at most 40 females here - some of them already quite advanced in age, but only TWO under the age of, say, 30?!
